Master Weaver Hand-woven Traditional Peruvian Textile with 100% Alpaca Wool & Natural Plant Dye.

This ceremonial textile is handmade with 100% alpaca wool, one of the finest and most durable wool in the world. It is incredibly soft and elegant. Perfect for spiritual ceremonies, especially with the patterns carefully designed onto the hat, weaving different sacred symbols of protection, earth connection, peace, & harmony. The spirit of Pachamama (Mother Earth) is literally woven onto this masterpiece. Perfect for daily activity or in ceremony. It will become a true ally for you on this sacred path, carrying your most precious items and grounding you in the strength of the indigenous people.

This piece was made using threads that were naturally dyed with specific plants by Hilaria and her family in their native community in the Andes. Although alpaca wool is one of the most sought after in the world, we are able to offer a very reasonable price because we work directly with these talented artisans.

About alpaca wool: it is a soft, durable, luxurious, and silky natural fiber. Alpaca wool is not prickly, and has no lanolin, which makes it hypoallergenic. It comes directly from the alpaca animals cared for by Hilaria and her family.

It is difficult to fully appreciate the extent of the process it takes to make such an item, from the alpaca shearing, to straightening it out, dying it naturally with plants from the region, setting up the traditional back-strap loom, praying for the design, and finally, weaving this marvelous work of art.

Woven in The Sacred Valley of the Incas, Peru by Hilaria and her family
